Members of boards of Visitors are volunteer advocates for people who are receiving care and treatment for emotional disabilities from New York State- operated Psychiatic centers, Children’s’ Psychiatric Centers and Developmental Disabilities Services Offices.
NYSABOV promotes access to compassionate care for individuals in our community with mental illness by providing helpful oversight for employment and housing. We oversee services to provide extensive support for independent life skills and jobs.
About Board of Visitors
Our association was started over 30 years ago with the hope of helping individuals with disabilities and improving their living circumstances. We have two branches where we are looking for members of the board in each area.
